A young boy decides to journey to Mountain Goat Country where he meets the Tree Woman who gives him magic charms to protect him against Cannibal. It is only the cunning trickery of Raven, however, that saves him and his people. This story tells how mosquitoes came to be.

AKIMBA AND THE MAGIC COW - Africa

Akimba unknowingly loses his three magical animals to his devious neighbor, Bumba. However, Bumba's greediness gets the best of him when he tries to steal the magic stick and he returns to Akimba all that he has stolen.

WAKAIMA AND THE CLAY MAN -British East Africa

That "lazy, no-good, sneaky" rabbit repeatedly tricks his hard-working friend, Wanjovu the Elephant, but his misadventures catch up with him when he encounters the clay man. This is perhaps the original "Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby."

Anansi and the Old Witch - A story from the Caribbean

This story tells about how greedy Anansi tricks his friends into giving their precious animals and food to the old witch. He tells them that the old witch will come after them if they say mean things to others. Anansi is the only one who knows that there is no witch. Of course Anansi tricks them into saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. He receives all his friends hard earned livestock and crops. In the end old turtle tricks Anansi into saying mean things and gets Anansi to give back what he has taken.

THE CASE OF THE MISSING HARP - Original Tale

20 years after Jack killed the giant, Jackolina comes to visit Jack's mom only to discover that the magic harp and the magic hen are missing, leaving her grandmother destitute. Jackolina comes to her grandmother's aid by setting out to find them. With the help of her newly found animal friends & the giant, they defeat the evil dwarf, Nickabrik and retrieve the magical gifts. Live fiddle music is performed before and after the show.

THE BOOK OF DREAMS - Original Tale for Encouraging Literacy

Two dinosaurs go out in search of their clan's legendary Book of Dreams. After a long adventure, their quest brings them to the Land of Twilight. There they encounter the Keeper of Darkness whom they outwit in order to retrieve the key which unlocks the Book of Dreams. The book of Dreams reveals a world of tales which come to life before their very eyes.

OUT OF THIS WORLD - Original Outer Space Tale

Zoom Galy, from planet, Poojie Poojie, discovers a telephone with magical powers in a world without phones. He quickly connives a way to use the telephone's magic against his friends to snatch their treasures only to be outwitted by Katchka, the caterpillar.

WE ARE MACCABEES IF YOU PLEASE - A Hanukah Tale

This story tells the tale of Hanukah with a twist. King Antiochus is outraged that the MaccaBees do not want to worship Zeus. He sends his ant army to change the stubborn MaccaBees' minds and destroy the Temple. After the retreat of the ants, King Antiochus himself goes out to battle Judah of MaccaBee. Judah tricks the king three times and finally puts an end to him. The MaccaBees celebrate by relighting the temple lamp with the oil found on the Temple grounds.

MOMOTARO, THE LITTLE PEACH BOY - Japan

A giant peach rewards an old man and his wife with a young boy, Momotaro. The Peach Boy soon embarks on a journey to rid his country of the wicked onis from the Island of the Demons. On his travels he meets his companions Dog, Monkey, and Pheasant who prove their bravery and courage in the final battle.
